Due to high rates of technology advancement, systems have been\ndeveloped to collect, process and store financial related information. Pastel\nand QuickBooks are some of the Accounting systems that have emerged and are\nquiet helpful to both small and medium sized enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>QuickBooks<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Accounting system is mainly\nused by small- medium enterprises and has two versions the online and the\ndesktop version. This system keeps track of all the expenses, sales, pay bills,\ncreate invoices and generate reports among other features. The desktop version\nis installed on your desktop and one does not need internet access to keep\ntrack of their financial records. The online version is cloud based and to keep\ntrack of your financial records one has to be connected to the internet.\nQuickBooks can support both windows and mac but on windows, Windows 7 is no longer\nsupported. QuickBooks desktop is mainly used by companies that do much of selling\nproducts whereas QuickBooks online is mainly used by organizations that do not\nhave their employees in the office and need to access their records on the go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pros and Cons of QuickBooks Online<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is easier to setup\nunlike the desktop version<\/li><li>One can access records\nanywhere even on their mobile phones as long as they are connected to the\ninternet<\/li><li>Unlimited invoices via\nemail which saves time<\/li><li>No need for a software\nto install<\/li><li>One can customize their\ndashboard based on their preferences<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The need for internet\nin order to keep track of what is going on<\/li><li>&nbsp;Training costs to train beginners as they may\nfeel overwhelmed<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pros and Cons of QuickBooks Desktop<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No need to access the Internet<\/li><li>It helps with better\norganization as it has an easy to use dashboard<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It does not have a\nplatform for data storage (cloud) hence the organization is exposed to the risk\nof data loss<\/li><li>&nbsp;There is no professional guidance hence the\norganization has to invest money on maintenance work<strong> <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Accounting System is a computer based software that is used to track all financial records for decision making purposes.
